Notre-Dame: Comblanchien Stone at the Heart of Historical Restoration
SETP played a key role in the renovation of the forecourt of Notre-Dame de Paris, delivering 1,000 square meters of paving in Comblanchien stone. This project required exceptional precision and expertise.
Expertise Dedicated to Heritage
The slabs, custom-cut with a brushed finish, blend seamlessly with the architectural environment of the cathedral. Each slab was designed to meet a specific angle, creating a unique visual harmony with the checkerboard pattern. In addition to the square slabs, Comblanchien catch basins were crafted in our workshops to manage rainwater on the forecourt while preserving the project’s aesthetics.
Our Comblanchien stone, renowned for its durability and timeless elegance, has been used for centuries to restore historical monuments. We are proud that our work has helped bring this iconic site back to life and support its reopening.
