Architectural stonework
WALL CLADDING
SETP is your partner for all facade projects. Natural stone is not only a sustainable and visually appealing material but also ideal for creating distinctive facades.
Natural stone excels as a facade material, enhancing the architectural design, adding aesthetic value, improving thermal and sound insulation, ensuring facade waterproofing, and providing greater longevity than any other material.
THERE ARE FOUR INSTALLATION METHODS FOR NATURAL STONE FACADES:
• Adhesive installation, following the NF DTU 52.2. « Pose collée des revêtements céramiques et assimilés – pierres naturelles » (‘Adhesive laying of ceramic coverings and similar—natural stones’). The thickness of the facings should be determined based on the stone’s density, with a maximum of 40 kg/m²
•Anchor system, following the NF DTU 55.2 « Revêtements muraux attachés en pierre mince » (‘Attached wall coverings in thin stone’). Minimum thickness: 3 cm
• Grid system. Grid suppliers such as LABELFACADE, VETISOL or ANKROMAX offer solutions conditioned to technical advice. Minimum thickness: 2 cm
• Masonry. Stone veneer wall, following the NF DTU 20.1 « Ouvrages en maçonnerie de petits éléments – Parois et murs » (Masonry works for small elements—Walls and partitions.). Minimum thickness for veneer bricks: 8 cm.
All stones offered by SETP are suitable for facade applications. We provide guidance on the optimal technical and aesthetic choices based on your specific requirements.
