Established in 1963, SETP is based at the heart of the Comblanchien basin in Burgundy.

Comblanchien stone starts earning a reputation, favoured by regional builders and extracted from small, unregulated quarries.

Railway development bolsters the local industry, broadening the market for natural stone across other regions.

Massive industrialisation and mechanisation of quarries begins.

SETP starts its operations at the Comblanchien quarry.

Company takeover by the current family shareholders.

Creation of Stonebox®, development of an industrial process suited for major projects.

SETP takes over the Ladoix-Serrigny quarry, developing Corton stone extraction.

La Pierre de Bourgogne - Indication Géographique - SETP SETP is certified with the Pierre de Bourgogne Geographical Indication (label of origin), the industry's acknowledgment of quality, integrity and expertise from fellow professionals.

SETP sells its granite activities to focus on limestone.
SETP becomes the exclusive operator for the Comblanchien quarry.

2020-2023

SETP develops partnerships with block producers in the Chatillon region of Burgundy, Ruoms, and producers of Belgian Blue blocks, and strengthens its industrial capacities.

SETP takes over the Buxy quarry, developing Buxy stone extraction.
